- 150 g peeled raw shrimp
- 50 ml olive oil
- 15 g garlic
- ½ g dried hot pepper or chili pepper
- 1 g salt
- 5 g lemon juice

Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel.

Slice the garlic into 2 mm thick slices.

Pour the oil into a pan, add the garlic and pepper and heat gently over low heat.

Increase the heat, add the shrimp and salt. Fry until the shrimp are cooked.
Chef's tip:
Shrimp are usually fried for 60-90 seconds on each side. When you see that the back of the shrimp has changed color from translucent to white, remove from the heat.
Plating
You can optionally add lemon juice and fresh herbs, such as parsley, to the shrimp.
Chef's tip:
Gambas al ajillo is usually served in the same pan in which the dish was cooked.
